Making CASE Connections

Teachers, we are so proud of all your hard work! It is hard to believe we are preparing for our last week with the students! Please take the time to respond to the blog posts below and give us your honest feedback about the program. We would like to remind you to help the students make "CASE" connections THROUGHOUT the day. Please notice and acknowledge the characteristics of confidence, trustworthiness, respect, fairness, open-mindedness, citizenship, and caring among your students. Remind them of Mr. Ricky's messages (choose your battles, and go against the flow) and how taking care of their environment (such as the campus beautification efforts at the 100 Black Men site) exemplifies citizenship and caring for their community. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK TEACHERS!

Presentation of African Americans in the CASE Curriculum...

In the CASE curriculum, do you feel that the presentation of African Americans who have achieved helps students in any way? If yes, how? If not why not? (Include your reaction and student reaction to the discussion).

Mentoring and Support

A central component of this summer program is to provide day to day mentoring and support so that this is a successful teaching experience for you. Please give us some honest feedback about the day to day mentoring you are receiving. Do you feel as supported as you did prior to beginning the program? Is there anything we need to do differently in relation to the mentoring and support you are receiving?

The "Keeping Learning Fun" - "Behavior Management" Balance

The program is half over! The children know you and you know them. What can you do to keep them actively engaged in learning, and continue to have a good time while keeping the behavior under control? Think about having fun while learning! :)
